Bay Window Rose Garden

bay window garden.JPG

It doesn't look like much, considering how much work it was. We transplanted 5 tea roses to the other (sunnier) side of the yard and disposed of 1 old diseased granddaddy bush. Added time-released fertilizer, compost tea. Bought 13 bare root disease-resistant roses -- put them in. Added 3 asparagus fern and 8 calla lily bulbs. Hung 2 trellises, and wrangled the killer Mermaid rose onto the one on the right.

Tomorrow, we figure out how to trellis a Blaze of Glory rose on the left, over the crawl space.

Disease Resistant Roses:
Rainbow Sorbet (Floribunda)
Sun Sprite (Floribunda)
Sun Bright (Hybrid Tea)
Mermaid (Natural Born Killer)

Asparagus densiflorus -- looks like a fluffy cat tail, about as big

Calla lily - Flame
