Primroses
After the landscaping, the backyard was all dormant rose bushes and grass -- a bland palate.
Sandi & I bought flats of sturdy English primroses & viola and Bob planted most of them in the borders.
After a recent open house, we could tell from the footprints that visitors walked along the length of the border, admiring.
The primroses have taken all the cold weather California can dish out --
(snow in Malibu canyon -- could anything be stranger?)
I borrowed the primrose picture from Gurneys.

The house is on the market
Our LA home is now for sale, and when it does, we move to Connecicut. Check out the site I did for it, 6944EncinoAve.com

Here's what the back yard looks like after the landscaping and resodding. Sue had done much work to put trees in the middle, but the grass died, so we moved the trees to the sides and put in a new lawn.

Regular blogging will now commence!
